International Dentistry Program (IDEP)

IDEP 5001. IDEP Intro. 24 Credit Hours.

This second-year hybrid course prepares students from different educational and professional backgrounds for integration into the DS3 year of the dental curriculum. The course combines online instruction with customized hands-on didactic, preclinical, and clinical training delivered by specialists and content experts. Emphasis is placed on assessing and strengthening students' knowledge, skills, and professional values across the DS1 and DS2 dental disciplines. Successful completion of IDEP 5001 leads to full integration into the traditional dental school curriculum in the summer of the DS2 year. Acceptance into the IDEP program is required.
